Maggie Gilliam of Columbus, OH inducted into social work honor society at Huntington University

Maggie Gilliam of Columbus, OH, was inducted into the Sigma Chi Chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society on Jan. 28.

Gilliam is a junior Social Work major at HU.

This scholarship honors a student with senior standing who excels in the social work department; interested students were required to write an essay on the application of social work and faith.

The Sigma Chi chapter was created in 2011 to honor the top students in the social work program. Membership in the Phi Alpha Honor Society is based on GPA, number of credits and sophomore status.
