Micah Christensen of Winamac to present at Huntington University's Academic Research Forum

Micah Christensen of Winamac, IN, will present alongside 29 other students at Huntington University's Academic Research Forum.

Students will present their research from various disciplines at the 2014 Academic Research Forum from 2:45-5 p.m. April 23. The forum will held in the Dowden Science Hall in various classrooms and lecture halls and is free and open to the public.

Along with students from several departments, the "Hoosier Grown" team will present their winning proposal from the Indiana Department of Agriculture's "Promoting the Good Works of Indiana Agriculture" marketing competition. The team presented their proposal to the ISDA on March 24, ousting 30 other collegiate teams and taking home a $25,000 cash prize. Team members include seniors Stephanie Morin, Micah Christensen, TJ Clounie, Dane Drew, Hannah Hochstetler, Matt Nelson and sophomore Ayla Yeiter.

Christensen, a senior Public Relations and Communication Studies major will be presenting "Hoosier Grown."

The purpose of the forum is to highlight and celebrate student learning and scholarship. The idea for the forum originated with the HU Student Senate.

Department chairs were asked to nominate a student from their departments to present their research at the forum.
