Rachel McCoy of Nashville showcases work in local exhibit

2011 Sep 28

Rachel McCoy, a junior Graphic Design major from Nashville, IN, had work accepted into the Third Annual "A Renaissance in Roanoke" college art exhibit. This is a juried art exhibit of current regional college students as a part of the Renaissance in Roanoke Art Festival in Roanoke, Ind., on Oct. 8.

Judging this event is the Fort Wayne Museum of Art's Charles Sheppard.

The exhibit will take place at Joseph Decuis, 191 N. Main St., Roanoke, Ind.

Her piece is titled "5 Little Owlets." It is an illustration created using tech pens and colored pencil. "I am both honored and excited to be able to be a part of the show this year. It is the first time I've ever attempted to enter anything into the collegiate show at Roanoke, though I've been aware of it for as long as I've been a student at Huntington University. I was thrilled to hear my piece was accepted," McCoy said.
